The 20th W.A. Gosnells Boys’ Brigade Company was founded by Tom Beacham in 2006 with Geoff White, Esther White, John Ince and Laurie Clarke.

The Boys’ Brigade offers a fun environment for Boys to make friends, develop a wide variety of skills, craft, play team games, go on camps and learn about Scripture. As the Boys progress they will be challenged and learn new skills.

When the Boys reach the Seniors group they have the opportunity to work towards the Queen’s badge – the highest award in Boys’ Brigade. The Boys achieve a variety of badges including hobbies, environmentalist, expedition, community service and leadership training. We encourage the Boys to apply these leadership skills at Brigade and this experience will assist them when they join the workforce.

Since being founded the 20th W.A. Gosnells Company has produced 8 Queensman and 7 Young Volunteer recipients.

We have attracted a number of new leaders over the years who have added their skills and enthusiasm to our weekly program.  Visiting leaders attend our Company from time to time to teach and share some more specific skills.  This has included motor mechanics, a chef passing on great cooking skills and tips to our Senior Boys, a Ventriloquist sharing about mission work, a carpenter organising woodwork projects and much more.
