Boys, are you looking for something that is fun, interesting, challenging and really worthwhile?  If you are in school years 3 to 6 then Boys’ Brigade, Juniors Section is the group for you.

Boys’ Brigade, BB for short, runs on Tuesday nights from 6.30pm to 8pm for Juniors.  You will be involved in a structured and appealing program, learning new skills in the physical, social, educational and spiritual areas of life.

From your first night at BB you’ll meet new friends and start doing fun and interesting things.  It might surprise you how quickly you will fit in with the other boys and enjoy being part of BB.

BB is a uniformed organisation and after you have come along for a while and discovered how much you enjoy it, you will be able to get into uniform.

A typical night at BB begins with a parade including raising the Australian flag while the National Anthem is played.  It will involve you in learning and practicing a range of parade drill skills. This is followed by a short, interactive devotion based on the Bible and moral principles.

Then an interesting craft or similar activity is tackled.  Examples are woodwork, simple electronics, cooking (and eating!), model assembly, paper plane making and much more.

We then play some indoor sports or various games like soccer, hockey, dodge, indoor tenpin bowling, relays and other suitable games. The night ends for Juniors with a closing parade.

Each week boys are marked for attendance, uniform and Church involvement and as well for their participation in devotions, craft and games.  All these points count towards badges that can be earned through the four years in Junior Section of BB.

A real highlight is the annual camp which includes teamwork, outdoor games, adventure activities like indoor rock climbing and laser games.  Swimming, archery, campfire, devotions and even a water pistol battle can be part of the camp program.
